This is a story of the arrest, passion and death of Jesus Christ told from the point of view of a teenage boy, Asa. The story begins with an introductory view of Asa. It then proceeds as Asa hears of Jesus' arrest. It shows Asa's change of attitude from one of disbelief that the nightmare of Jesus' arrest could actually happen, to one of despair as the drama continues, to one of acceptance and trust as he keeps vigil beneath Jesus' cross. Through a series of events along the way, Asa demonstrates his true concern for others and his eager response to their needs. At the end of the story Asa accepts Jesus' will, pledging his love and his life.
