Follow The Yellow Brick Road: Trusting God One Day at a Time

By Dr Conrad W Chambers Sr

When Life Lands You in Oz

In both The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz, the story begins with disruption.
Dorothy does not volunteer for the storm. She does not prepare for the transition. She does not choose to leave home. A tornado in one story. A blizzard in the other. But in both accounts, she awakens in unfamiliar territory.
Many believers know that feeling.
You did not plan the diagnosis.
You did not anticipate the betrayal.
You did not foresee the financial shift.
You did not expect the ministry battle.
Yet here you are.
In Matthew 6, Jesus addresses people living under pressure. They worried about food, clothing, provision, security - tomorrow. His words are not detached theology; they are practical instructions for anxious hearts. "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." (Matthew 6:34) Jesus does not deny that today has trouble. He acknowledges it. But He refuses to let tomorrow dominate today.
Dorothy asked, "How do I get home?" The answer was simple: Follow the Yellow Brick Road. Jesus gives us something even stronger: Seek first the Kingdom, and walk one day at a time.
This book is about learning how to walk - steadily, faithfully, peacefully - on the road God has already prepared.
