As followers and imitators of Christ, our greatest goal and privilege is to follow the Great Leader - Jesus Christ wherever he calls us to. Because we follow him, we lead others. As we follow, we will naturally lead and others will want to follow because we are clearly going somewhere in God and others may need to walk in our light until they come closer to the Lord for themselves. That's how Jesus described John the Baptist's life. Jesus described John in John 5:35 as, "John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light."The closer you follow Christ the better leader you're going to be. As you take up your cross and follow, you're going to inspire other to go with God.
