Nothing can stop Sonny from finding the truth

Sonny is definitely the private eye that Haven needs (though they might not want her) for her tenacity to get to the bottom of every crime or mystery that needs solving. And Haven sure is a cesspool of nastiness hidden under that beautiful facade that is only one letter away from Heaven. I really do like Sonny who never gives up in helping loved ones find answers, plus take care of her mom (heartbreaking about the early onset dementia, though I would love to try some of her baked goods!). In this opening first book of which I hope turns into a series, it starts with a dognapping and ends with betrayals, dead bodies, missing people and a warm welcome to the town that beats down those that do not fit the profile (in semi secret of course) and ends with an explosive climax and more need of Sonny and her expertise in digging up the truth no matter how deep it is buried. This was a very fast paced thriller of a novel and very well written and I can't wait to see what Sonny does next after that cliffhanger of an ending!
