After researching numerous possible guides, I purchased this little volume for a two-week vacation stay in Portland this past summer. Because of its compact size, wealth of information, and comprehensiveness, I took it with me wherever I went in discovering the many wonderful sites of this unique and very pedestrian-oriented city. The descriptions, reviews, and ratings of restaurants, museums, parks, and other sites were most helpful in planning itineraries throughout the city - both downtown and in many of the fascinating Portland neighborhoods. Although small in size, it is packed with very useful information and numerous small maps that I referred to constantly during my time there. One of the best features for me as a walker was its light weight and portability. A super companion for the Portland visitor!
