In amazing full-color, Fodor's Caribbean 2014 covers almost 50 destinations in the Caribbean, from the Dominican Republic and Trinidad & Tobago, to Turks & Caicos and even Montserrat. The guide... This description may be from another edition of this product.
We were looking for a place to go on our honeymoon in the Caribbean, but could not decide on which island to choose. This guide provided a great table comparing all the islands based on hotels, restaurants, activities, etc. and then a detailed description of each island. Would definitely recomment as a great starting point in planning your Caribbean vacation.
Very Good But IMHO Not THEE Best

Fodor's listed the usual sites/sights and some that were unique to this book. It's good, it's comprehensive and thorough with I'm sure few to no errors, but personally I found I liked Frommer's guide just a little better. But there's nothing lacking in Fodor's, only a personal preference.
The definitive guide for Caribbean Travel

There are many guides available but none is as up to date or as accurate as Fodor's. For anyone planning a yacht trip or just perusing islands to find the perfect destination this is the only reference guide.
Much imitated, never quite equaled

Still the best. Comprehensive, well organized, easy on the eyes, easy on the hands, and compact enough to take wherever you go. None of those fancy-schmancy pictures and other graphics that just distract you from what you're looking for. Of course, as with all guidebooks, sometimes the ratings make you wonder what they were smoking at the time; also I could do without those advertisement pages in the middle of the book. DON'T RELY TOO MUCH ON OUTDATED EDITIONS, because of how often places open and close, or are affected by construction, hurricanes, and whatever else, or just change hands (which means the quality can change).
Always Reliable Travel Info

I have used several of the Fodor's Travel Guides over the years and they consistanly offer acurate and useful information. The Caribbean guide continues to uphold their high standards. The brief introduction for each island gives the traveler a good overview of the history and culture of that island. Although not all inclusive, it does include the best hotels and resturants, from expensive to those on a budget. It also includes those "must sees" and gives a honest opinion as to whether or not they are worth your time and money. I love the self guided tours - you see the highlights while using your time wisely and if something strikes your fancy, you can always spend more time at a spot or wander off the beaten path. We are planning a trip to Cayman in a few weeks and I will use this guide once again.
