Used this book the entire trip

We spent a week in Boston with our 7 & 9 yr olds. We used this book to help guide us the whole time. My husband and I had never been to Boston before, so I read this book cover to cover before we went. While there I was able to easily pull it out and reference things I had already read about. It made getting around and seeing the sights much faster. We wasted very little time searching for things and asking directions.

Very Useful!

Well organized by area, with local attractions mapped within those areas, accurate times, good descriptions and histories, and times. Also, useful subway map.

Very helpful!

This book is packed with loads of information, yet it is still slim enough to carry with you. Great sections that include the Top 25 Sites To See in Boston, How to Organize Your Time (aroudn things like rush-hour traffic, etc.) ... as well as the other standard tourist book fare: hotels, restaurants, and shopping. All of this and a large map of the whole city (and the surrounding areas). Wonderful resource.

Helps you find everything

A nice compilation of maps that help you find everything and everywhere in Boston! I used it for my first ever trip to Boston and it was comforting to know it was always within easy reach. There are maps to help you find everything from neighborhoods to tourist attractions, from restaurants to colleges, from shopping to entertainment spots. Of course, the maps that I found most helpful of all were those for the Metro system and public transportation!Highly recommended if you'll be doing a lot of traveling around Boston on your own!

Boston Citypack-Excellent Guide

Fodor's Boston Citypack is a compact guide small enough to easily fit into a breast pocket. Despite its small size it is packed with concise and practical information about Boston and environs. It contains sample tour days with clear directions as well as a fold-out map inside the back cover. Recommendations for hotels, historical sites, and restaurants are brief and to the point. I found it an easy read and helpful companion as I walked the Freedom Trail and rode the public transportation. Well worth the price.
