Large Format This field manual describes the operations and tactics of Soviet general purpose ground forces. The content is based on Soviet writings and other open source literature. These are tried and true tactics that were also seen in Afghanistan and Syria. Russian ground forces on the border with Ukraine will modify them slightly to take advantage of the "Little Green Men" as seen in Crimea, but otherwise, they will probably stick to many of these tactics.
