This book is a good, concise book on the how-tos to become a pilot. My only major complaint is that it is a little old (a few years). Other than that, the author does a good job of describing the life of a pilot, how to get there and what to expect although not in any explicit detail. Good to have if you're an aspiring pilot like me. It sheds a lot of light onto the profession.
Faster, Higher, Bigger

Not an extremely in depth book, but this book was very good at describing a lot of the things that many aviation books take for granted that the reader already knows. Great for beginers. Good at over-viewing the industry, steps need to be taken, and the paths to getting where you're eyes are looking.

Ms. Otypka wrote an amazing book! It helped me choose a path to the majors. Anyone who is thinking of flying as a career should read this book before they make any decision because it helped to steer me on the correct path. The wait is well worth it.
Solid advice for those considering an airline career

It is one of the best books available from one who has dedicated years of effort to getting ahead as a pilot. Otypka will soon advance to captain, and has still found time to update the book to include topics never taught at a typical flight school, such as crew resource management.
