A puppy named Lindie Lou and her brothers and sisters were born in St. Louis, Missouri. Until they are old enough to travel, they play games together in a place called the "puppy playground." Max tells Lindie Lou the "Emerald City" is the name of her new home. Lindie Lou is excited about meeting her forever family and wonders what her future life will be like.
