This is a book that long needed to be written. Fly fishermen have been enjoying their sport in the Chesapeake Bay for decades. Yet, until now, no one has given it a comprehensive treatment...Ed and... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I've been visiting the Chesapeake Bay Region for many years. The place is so vast and the fishing opportunities so varied that it's hard to know where to begin. This book can really help you sort things out. It's loaded with information on lodging, launch ramps, which locations and seasons are best for each species and what techniques are most productive. I really appreciate that the authors included information on light tackle fishing techniques other than fly fishing. Sometimes the wind, weather and tides conspire against the fly rodder to such a degree that all the fun just evaporates. Having the option of using spinning gear can save what might otherwise be a frustrating outing. Even if conditions are right for all types of fishing, not everyone is devoted to the long rod. The information contained here makes it easy for everyone to get in on the fun. I wish a book like this had been available years earlier. It could have saved me a lot of time, effort and money and I probably would have caught a lot more fish.

Arguably the most comprehensive, meticulous, and factual book ever written on the vast expanse of the Chesapeake Bay for fishermen. A must have, must read guidebook, no matter what level of fishing expertise.
