But after a failed assassination attempt on the evil Empress Mirideth, she meets a mysterious woman named Niarith, who changes her life forever. Together with Niarith, Lucia takes to the stars, and struggles to find her place in this new world. Lucia will find that her greatest enemy, Empress Mirideth, is a miniscule threat in comparison to the monolithic and oppressive Federal Interstellar Commission. The universe is larger and more dangerous than she could have ever imagined. She knows she'll have to learn how to live in it if she wants to survive, and perhaps become who she truly wants to be in the process. But as she'll learn, it's never that easy.
