Flower Dancing in Mountain Mist Farmstead: Mountain Life/花舞山嵐農莊 山居生活 [Chinese]

By 陳似蓮

If I had not ventured into the mountains in this life, I would never have created a forest. At the same time, the earth has given me the greatest courage and strength. I believe that once spiritual resolve is awakened, it surpasses our conscious abilities. It is nature's gift that life can be so free. With the encroachment of Western culture, living alone has become a lifestyle for many. Having walked through the first half of life, how should one live the second half? If you are alone, are you afraid? Do you feel lonely? A little melancholy? The author of Flower Dancing in Mountain Mist Farmstead Vol. 3: Mountain Life is a petite woman with extraordinary strength. Alone on Alishan, she built a forest garden of tiger head orchids. Mountain - a man striving in reclamation Life - with a man as a pillar of support, a woman can naturally enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee Living - activity, exercise, stillness... hurry up and get moving Liveliness - dogs, fish, chickens... a woman rushes about for her livestock like a whirling fire wheel That year, at the height of the pandemic in Taiwan, with individualism on the rise, everyone was tested by the harshness of the living environment and by their own thoughts. Through action, the author reveals her deepest inner honesty about living alone in the mountains. A seemingly fragile woman, using nothing but her hands, built a forest garden of tiger head orchids on Alishan-and found the meaning of life in solitude.
