Everyone ran down to the quay side to take pictures and video with their smartphones, when the dolphins appeared.

People were absolutely mesmerized by the dolphins. Here in Florida they love their wild animals and there were a lot of them on Treasure Island.

The birds we had most interaction with were the crows. They were smaller than we were used to, so they must be Fish Crows. They woke us up every morning as the sun rose, like roosters.

We tried the small toy crow we bought, with actual voice recording on them. The Fish Crows could understand the recorded message, but it was obviously a dialect.

We were amateur Europeans in this Florida paradise. We hope readers will forgive and correct any identifications we got wrong.

We only write about the species we actually encountered here, so don't look for alligators..
