The only book from my preschool days that I still own!

A wonderful picture book! Wesley Dennis' artwork is enchanting in the the story of Flip, the curious colt who dreams he can fly. Indeed, it was this book that caught Marguerite Henry's eye in her quest for an artist to illustrate her first book about horses, Album of Horses. Thus was born, in my opinion, one of the greatest pairings of children's author and illustrator.The world lost one of its best animal illustrators with the passing of Wesley Dennis...
