Flint's Reckoning: A Western Novel

By Brian Worthing

Montana Territory, 1888.

Jericho Flint rides into Harlow carrying a prisoner, four hard rules, and no intention of staying. Then he sees his dead brother's knife in a mercantile case.

Harlow is being strangled by the Judith Basin Stock Association. Homesteaders are disappearing. Land transfers bear questionable marks. A widow and her son have been placed in the path of men who know how to make murder look lawful. And somewhere behind it all is the truth about the brother Jericho failed to save.

With a circuit judge due on May 28, Jericho must build a case against powerful men before fear silences the town for good. To protect Ada, Toby, and the families of Harlow, he will have to face the bloody past that made him and decide whether justice can survive without becoming revenge.

Flint's Reckoning is a slow-burning historical Western of honor, guilt, courage, and redemption, and the first novel in The Flint Chronicles.
