Flight to Love

Emerald escapes her brutal husband; drives to New York to a new job as an RN and plans to divorce him. But, her Rental Agent brings her to an apartment located above a produce store, the owner of which owns the building. She didn't come to New York to fall in love. She really didn't. But, it happened. Her brutal husband, Earl, learns where she is and comes to NY to beat her and drag her back to Florida and continue the beatings. But, Rico, the building owner stops him. Earl returns to Fl. to get help to kill Rico. Earl is in Tilly's HOUSE OF DELIGHTS, when he argues with Tilly, trying to strangle her. Her son, Van, arrives in time to stab Earl to death. Tilly is hysterical because Earl promised to marry her and Van, unbeknownst to both men, is his son. Emerald must return to Fl. to bury Earl, and complete other matters. Completing these, she returns to NY. She and Rico go to Italy to meet his family and marry. Emerald, on meeting her future mother-in-law gets the surprise of her life.
