In 1978, 12-year-old David Freeman (Joey Cramer) slips and falls in the forest. He becomes unconscious. When he wakes up and finds his way home, it is 8 years later. David is still only 12 years old. Everyone around him has aged. How will this mystery be solved? And in the process, what do we learn about family and friends?
This is a standard Disney formula for its time, 1986. It is lots of fun to watch, and it doesn’t take too much suspended belief.
My favorite part is when they take a jab at E.T. and “phone home.”
While watching this program, we get to go back in time and see what the world was like in 1986. We are also treated to some of the music of the time, as the music itself is also a character in this presentation.
