Flight Attendant Job Finder & Career Guide

I stumbled across this excellent book written by Tim Kirkwood while I was trying to find information on how to improve my chances on becoming a Flight Attendant. I ordered the book online and received it the next day. I read this book from cover to cover three times. It was a great source of information and it reads very easy. I also emailed Tim and he was very helpful. After reading his book I sent a resume to an airline and received back an application. I completed the application, sent it back to the airlines, and within a few days I received a call from them wanting me to come in for an interview. When I arrived for the interview, there were many other applicants present. I was able to shine during that group interview because of Tim Kirkwood's book. After the group interview they selected of few of us for a one-on-one interview. About half way through the interview she stoped me and said, "You know what? You are exactly what we are looking for at this airline". I was hired on the spot and was sent for training three weeks later. Thank you Tim Kirkwood!

A book of knowledge

this little gem of a book is chock full of information about a career that still carries a certain amount of glamor. Here you can find all the important tips needed to fill out an application and what is needed to ace the interview/s. An added plus is the fact that information that is subject to change is regularly updated and can be found on one of two websites. A must read for anyone interested in entering this profession.

By far the best book on flight attendants I've ever seen.

The first of what we can now call flight attendants were hired in 1926 by Stout Airlines for it's Detroit to Grand Rapids route. From that modest beginning, the occupation has evolved thanks to increased passenger traffic, worldwide routes, larger and more complex planes, greater services, and the influence of labor unions. This book is truly a "Bible" of the field, providing everything from the history of the occupation to details on hiring and employment practices. It lists contact and employment information for approximately 100 US and Canadian carriers. By far the best book on flight attendants I've ever seen.

An essential, time saving tool.

It would take weeks or months to gather the information avaliable in this book. Going after the flight attendant job without a guide is like trying to find a phone number without a phone book. If you're interested in increasing your chances of hiring on with a U.S. airline, this book will save you many headaches and tons of time. Recommended.
