Olson's strong color illustrations are in the simple style of a young child's drawings and Olson's very simple sentences make Fleabite an excellent and confidently recommended introduction to the wonders of storytime picturebooks for preschoolers and beginning readers.

The little children now want their own Fleabite dog!

I read this to a group of five 2 & 3 year olds. The book kept their interest as their eyes widened with awe at the colorful illustrations. In the end each talked about their favorite Fleabite adventure. I recommend this to all who have smallfrys with fun imaginations! This book is tops!!

I am so pleased that my friends children loved this book as a Christmas gift. Fleabite is an utter delight to read to small children and sparks their imagination. The illustrations are vibrant and playful. I will be giving this book again and again as a gift to those young and young at heart. A classic!
