Flashbacks and Premonitions is populated by the entire spectrum of contemporary alternative culture: slackers, Goths, punks, hippies, and ravers. Surreal yet strangely realistic, Jon Longhi's carnival is a portrait of modern America in decline, a wasted human landscape choking on its own polluted broken dreams.
I heard Jon read about six months ago. I met him. I had him sign my book. I asked him to write three random words on the cover-page. He came up with laundromat, space-station, ring-worm. He is a wonderful writer, and he can think on his toes. I recommend it for all that that's worth.
Longhi is the Evil Kenevil of Western Literature

I've read everything this wacko has in print. Jon's stories are belief-defying stunts. Reminds me a lot of the very short stories Irvine Welsh wrote in The Acid House. Flashbacks and Premonitions also has a novella tucked in the back for fans of longer writing. If you get a chance, go see this guy read his stuff live. It's like seeing a standup comedian back when standup comedy was funny.
