These cards summarize most of the reactions that are encountered in a typical first semester course in organic chemistry. They are divided into a "Products" set and "Reagents" set. The "Products" set will help you to learn to predict the products of th various reactions you will encounter, whereas, the "Reagents" set will help you to lear to identify the reagents required for a given organic transformation. It is ver important that you not memorize these reactions. Instead, you should use these card to try to understand how these reactions occur, i. e. the mechanism or step-by-ste pathway leading from reactants to products. Therefore, the key elements of th mechanism of every reaction are also provided. With this knowledge you should b able to predict the products of similar reactions, to include their regiochemistry as wel as stereochemistry The cards are arranged four to a page with the questions on the front and the answer on the back. To prepare the cards, fold each page vertically and horizontally at th perforations, and gently tear them apart
