In their search for groundbreaking technological advancements, a covert organization, ION, designs a time machine that transports metal objects in and out of the future. However, in doing so, many of the technological objects brought to the present are damaged and useless. Unsure how to repair them, ION turns to the future inventors who, though destined to be innovative engineers, are presently children.
Seventeen-year-old Vince Parker is one of them.
After being abducted by ION, he is tasked with fixing the puzzling technology. Despite the friendships he begins to develop, Vince has one motive: escape. As he must learn to care for others, Vince sets off on a dangerous adventure in which his intellect, friendships and humility are put to the test.
