fun book!

My 2 1/2-year-old son loves this book, and all the other "Five Little Monkeys" books.

illustrations are too cute!

Bought this for my granddaughter who loves monkeys! I got the puppets for her while recovering in the hospital from surgery. She loves them. Five Little Monkeys are my favorite kids' book.

Nice Book

This is a nice English/Spanish book that can be read in either language. It goes beyond the basic color, shapes, etc. for basic Spanish. There are 3-4 sentences for each page; 28 pages or so. The monkey are bored so the Mom has them clean for their Grandma who is coming. The last task is to go pick berries; the monkey's make a mess through the house they just cleaned just before Grandma arrives. It is a nice story that you can talk about with your kids & maybe they won't make a mess in you house =-) Great to get some additional Spanish vocab and make it fun to read.

I didn't know that boredom could be so hilarious

This book threw me into a laughing fit when I read it to Max in the children's books section of one of the large bookshops in Singapore (the perfect refuge on week-ends during the rainy winter season). Max is two and a half years old, and he is very tolerant of his dad's monkeying around. To judge by the looks I got when I guffawed, it seems that most parents regard reading children's books as a serious matter.Anyway, kids have a great sense of humor, and they will enjoy it when you chuckle while reading this book to them. The little monkeys of the title are five clumsy but well-intentioned, lovable creatures that mess up the house while trying to please their mom. That is probably what happens to many two or three-year-olds who hope to do the right thing and end up spilling the milk when they try to assist mom. Enthusiasm combined with clumsiness can produce some rather chaotic results. "Five Little Monkeys with Nothing to Do" teaches parents and kids to see the funny side in such mishaps.Recommended for parents and children alike.
