PrefaceThis book, Fit Me Like a Glove, is a series of short poesies about love. It is thoroughly dedicated to Garth Foster. He is also the Artist that created the cover art for this book...utilizing a black velvet scarf from my great Aunt Nancy Anne, her sister's glove, my Grandma Siddartha Staley Mahaffey's, some pearls and rose petals all taken together and displayed in the Beauty that is his artistic eye and vision. Our history has crossed paths so many times. Both, having been born in the same hospital in Fairfax, Virginia, though two years apart. Then both, soon after birth, moved to the same countryside of Fauquier County outside of the bustling Washington, D.C. landscape, as young children.Later, as early teens, Garth worked as a local EMT and Firefighter while I worked at Fauquier Hospital as a Candy Striper then as a paid employee on the Tom Frost wing, while attending high school. Likewise, I worked at Oak Springs Retirement Home in Warrenton, Virginia where Garth regularly responded to emergency calls as early as the age of 15.Then one evening, I had some trouble with work and sought some friendship at a local Irish Restaurant and Pub called Molly's. The date was Columbus Day, October 14, 2013...What to tell? There is so much...and the story continues to unfold...Siddartha Beth Pierce
