Fishing with my father

I once wrote a short story about me and my dad reflecting on our days backpacking in the mountains and flyfishing the lakes and streams of Utah's Uinta's Mountains and the Windrivers in Wyoming. We were the perfect duo.It was written at a time I began to realized he was growing old. It was a crushing realization. A realization that we would no longer go on our crazy adventures into the mountains. And I felt sad. And so I wrote: "To this day as I did then, I wished I did not have to grow up and my father would always be 40 years old and we could plan our next fishing trip, don our backpacks and head up the trails into the mountains forevermore. If there is a heaven, when and if I arrive there, I will be sorely disappointed if this is not my fate for eternity."This is my heartfelt story of Fishing with My Father.
