Anyone keeping an aquarium will sooner of later be faced with a sick fish. Learning how to identify, treat and, hopefully, cure the disease is the purpose of this book. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I found this book an excellent primer for anyone interested in fish diseases. The author writes mainly from a veterinary pathologist's perspective rather than an aquarium hobbyist. It covers all the major groups of fish pathogens in a clear and concise manner and is chock full of colour photos and drawings. The section on fish examination and post-mortems is excellent. It also has short blurbs on non-pathogenic diseases and drugs. I found the differential diagnosis section for various symptoms most helpful. The content value of this little book far outweighs its price.
