Helen Lipton and her deceased spirit girlfriend Susan Aielo find themselves in a small West Virginia town. They hope to hide out, regroup, and plan their next move before the powers that be get too close. Everything is fine until they stumble upon an old murder mystery. While out fishing Helen ends up saving a woman who has fallen off her boat into the water.
She is an attractive, interesting woman named Marcy, who happens to be investigating the death of a nurse who died under mysterious circumstances earlier that year. She offers Helen a job as a researcher.
As Helen helps Marcy research this case, she begins to see several parallels with the death of her own mother. But now someone knows that she is close and they will do anything to get her to back down. Even murder...
