First Day of School

The First Day of School is a book for all kids and teenagers. Kids have been at home all summer long having fun, and now it is time for them to go back to school. Parents are doing their last-minute shopping for their children by taking them to the mall to buy clothes and shoes. Girls are at the braid shop getting their hair done, and the boys are at the barbershop getting their fresh haircuts. The kids are excited to see their friends, and the parents are trying to get their kids everything they need to be successful at school. The two main characters are new to the school district, so they are nervous. They go to their different classes, and by lunchtime, they are getting restless. The students are introduced to their new teachers, and at the end of the day, the bell rings, and the students are dismissed to go home. The students and the teachers have survived the first day of school.
