I wrote these poems over several years without realizing they were becoming a book.
They came from different parts of my life where I was learning how to live with grief and how to live with missing someone. The parts where memories show up in unexpected places and don't disappear just because time passes.
This collection holds pieces about love, distance, and the way certain people stay with us long after they're gone from our lives.
Some of these poems are gentle. Some aren't. Most of them were written on days when I didn't know what else to do with what I was feeling.
If you've ever found yourself thinking about someone at the sound of thunder, or in a song, or in a moment you didn't expect to feel heavy, you might find something familiar here.
