A story set in the Sierra Nevadas, about a Marine who has dreams of his family perishing in a forest fire. He takes an emergency leave to return home and prepare his family for the adventure ahead. He takes them to a Firewalking seminar where they learn how their bodies can accomplish what some people think are impossible. Upon arriving home from the seminar he discovers his mountain home sits on a dormant volcano and must race down the mountain to escape the river of lava that threatens their home and lives.
