Very attractive

This book doesn't merely wax prosaic on the attractiveness of renting a firetower. It gives very well structured and encouraging information to allow you to do it, as well as useful tips on what to bring and how to get to each tower. The pictures are amateurish, but that adds to the appeal - they're like pictures I'd take if I was perched above tree level at N,000 feet.

Wonderful places to visit

It is certainly fun "window-shopping" those mountain top cabins and firetowers. I am certainly going to spend the night in one this year. They appear to be some of the most magical places on earth...and are available for a song...
