Fire on the Mountain: Addressing Idolatry

There is a fire on the mountain. It is not the holy fire of God's presence. It is a profane fire-a raging wildfire of idolatry, compromise, deception and apostasy that has swept through the Church for centuries. Fanned by the winds of false doctrine and continually fed by misplaced devotion, this fire has burned across spiritual high places, consuming truth, corrupting worship and drawing hearts away from wholehearted allegiance to the living God. Scripture reveals a God who is jealous for His people-a holy God who refuses to share His throne with idols. He alone is worthy of worship. He alone must occupy the highest place of devotion. He alone must be the supreme desire of the human heart.
