This story is true. It takes place now, in the present. It began in the late 1950s when two teenagers fell in love in Atchison County, Kansas. Approximately three years ago I experienced something that I do not begin to understand. At that time I started writing notes to myself as I remembered people, places and events which I thought were erased from my memory forever.
