To be sure we'd survive, on planet E28, robots built us accommodations that were out of this world. They created parks and lakes and stadiums, designed food and drinks for the most indiscriminate taste. They provided magnificent furnished housing equipped with luxurious amenities. All of this was a gift to us from the E28 robots for re populating their planet with humans. Since everything was free, money was not needed. The billions we had were left for the people on earth. In 2022, right after the COVID-19 virus hit, the world is upside down. It is also in the middle of a war in Ukraine perpetuated by a sadistic maniac. Then there is Charles, the protagonist of this story. He is shackled to a stone half dead and waiting to be burned to death or to be drowned. We don't yet know if he survives but we hope he does. He has gotten into this situation but he can't remember how. Ostensibly he was an engineer who, with everyone else in that IT agency, was let go from their jobs. Charles was the computer software designer in that place in Brantford Ontario. While Charles is up in age he is sure he will find a job really quickly. He was right. In less than a week a man named Olly, an armaments manufacturer, hired him on sight. One day Olly was back from a meeting at Cocos Island with good news. "We've found what we always wanted. Starting next year millionaires will be the first ones to travel and reside on planet E28. We have seen videos of beautiful city scenes, hotels, mansions under construction, streets, highways, airports being built there to treat us when we arrive. Listen to me Charles, every chore is done by robot servants. These robots are just like us 100% self-aware. Can you imagine Charles, these robots will do any job assigned to them without ever complaining or asking questions, and they never criticize anything. How does that sound Charles?"
