Simply Sculpture

SIMPLY SCULPTURE Warmus writes with wit and intelligence. Glass, as an art making material, is no different from other materials.....except when it is. This very readable book makes this point well. There are some ideas that can't be expressed with any other material. Warmus doesn't discuss the craftmanship involved in using glass to make art. He contextualizes the work of artists working in this medium with other art made in the last quarter of the 20th century (ie. Dale Chihuly as a colorfield sculptor). An easy read, great images of art made from glass.
