Finley, an adventure loving Golden Retriever, has just been rescued by a nerdy nine year old girl named Joy who loves science and is fascinated by volcanoes. Joy and her Mom Fodla, soon whisk Finley off to Montserrat, nicknamed 'The Emerald Island of the Caribbean', to visit her grandfather, a world renowned volcano expert.With the help of a forward thinking poodle named Ginger, Finley and Joy learn of the island's Irish history and its legendary Emerald volcano.
