Irish Power!

Pithy and potent! Whether looking for pubs or porridge this book has all things Irish. Set up as a directory, it's easy to put a finger on facts instantly, but dont just skim through. The stories and insights, not to mention original photography, make each page a pot of gold! I loved each and every bit. Well done Sharon.

I thought I knew it all

I am a real nut when it comes to the Irish in Chicago. I've studued it for years since I am Irish and so is my wife whoc grew up on the South Side. Sharon's book is VERY well researched and I've found it not only a wonderful read but a real historical prospective on Chicago which is rich with Irish history. DD

Finding Your Chicago Irish by Sharon Bossard was a wonderful directory of Things Irish in the Chicago area. Ms. Bossard's book is an excellent guide for all things Irish. I read her first book on Ireland and could not put it down. I am so pleased to find her latest work. I will look forward to enjoying more works by her.

Excellent Resource and Great Gift!

Until reading this book I was not aware of the extent of my Irish roots in my own city. This book has been great at pinpointing the best festivals and Guinness hot spots in Chicago! My husband and I consult it regularly when we feel like finding a new watering hole or beef pie! It has also been a great resource for finding musical and dancing events. Great gift idea for anyone Irish or anyone who likes to explore the city.
