"Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter". In an environment where public opinion is manufactured by policy makers and politicians, the narratives that are most often excluded are those of the people who are directly influenced by the policies. Because of language barriers, security reasons, and cultural differences, refugees have not been given a platform to speak about their experiences, until now. This book tracks their experiences in their home countries, the process of moving to their host countries, and their experiences in their host countries. Their personal accounts have not been modified in any way to protect the authenticity of their statements and neither their names nor images/videos have been disclosed for their protection. Especially considering that organizations such as Mosaic Family Services and the IRC are running out of funding, it is important to consider whether or not services like these should remain for refugees.
