In Finding the Essence, Poems from the Tarot, the poet invites us on the Fool's Journey through the Minor Arcana of the Tarot of the Spirit. This collection of poems is a personal journey upon the Kabbalistic Tree of Life through the symbolic pathways of poetry. The poems, accompanied by images from the Tarot of the Spirit deck, by Pamela and Joyce Eakins, are offered in the spirit of seeking a connection with the hidden essence of the Path of Kabbalah. Through meditation upon each of the forty cards of the Minor Arcana, the poet sought a way to access the oracle of the tarot to deepen her spiritual path. The poet offers her insights of the Tarot of the Spirit cards from the temple of the soul, the heart center of our being. The hope is that the poems might resonate within the heart of the reader and connect us to the essence of who we truly are.
