Peace In the Midst Of Pain by David O. Dykes

David Dykes is a pastor who is sincere about his faith. I attended high school and college with David. He has always been consistent about his love for Christ. I want to read all of David's books because they help me to grow deeper in my faith. You will be truly blessed by reading this book.

Peace to be found

I know Dr. Dykes wrote this wonderful book, but it is a gift from God. I am a cancer patient just in the middle of my treatments and I have been asking all the questions common to my situation, like; "why me". This book has been helpful, there are answers to many questions in the pages but mostly there is the reassurance of God's love. Dr. Dykes exposes wrong thinking as he explains Job's journey but he shines a bright light on the hope found there. I recommend this book wholeheartedly and as the title claims, there is peace to be found.

Comfort in troubled times

Dr Dykes is my pastor and he has said that all of us are either currently going through a crisis in our lives or in between crises. In other words, we all experience pain in our lives. This book is a great comfort in the midst of pain and brings the focus back to the Great Healer. So whether you are in pain right now or in between storms in your life, I would recommend this book highly as a source of insight and peace for the toughest times in life.

This book is a beacon of hope for those looking for answers during a troubled time. Dr. Dykes' discussion of Job's hardships and God's renewal help bring understanding and meaning to life's crisis big and small. "Finding Peace In Your Pain: Life Lesons from the Story of Job" helped me to see that our Creator is a loving God who is full of wisdom. A quick and engaging read with well-layed out chapters and encouraging quotes. As soon as I finished it I gave it to my wife and she loved it as well. I would recommend this book to anybody who is struggling with conflict no matter how large or small.
