At the base of the Appalachian Mountains along Swimmers Cove Creek in Northeastern Pennsylvania sits the small town of Oasis. The old historic town runs the valley from the north end where the college and the seminary are to the south end where the Zinc Company and Lake Oasis spreads out. The people of the north end live in luxurious homes while the south end live primarily in tiny dwellings. The north and south are separated by a beautiful park and of course money, privilege and fame. It is in Oasis that the military decides to experiment with a new strain of marijuana meant to sedate the people in hopes of using it in future warfare as a deterrent to using deadly force. The town is shut down from all sides as the experiment proceeds. Unknown to the military, strangers that have recently arrived and for a large percentage of the townspeople there is a river of torture, pain and abuse dating back years. It is this underlying current of evil that explodes upon the town as the drug brings happiness to many but opens the gates to heaven and hell allowing secrets to bubble up and a battle between victims and perpetrators to ensue. Only a young girl and a mysterious guitar player may have the power to save the town.
