Finding Myself is a culmination of over fifteen years of research. Our family's genealogy has been traced back to 1797 finding my great grandmother, Amy Boyd's grandfather, Jefrey (Jeffrey) Boyd. As slaves, her family made a trek from Beaufort, NC to Sumter County, Alabama. I discovered things that I had been told and confirmed things that I thought. Our family's lineage was a duke's mixture of DNA from Germany, Ireland, Africa, and the United States.
