The true story of a child's fight for survival. "People say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. There is some truth to that. However I'm an example of those things making you weaker as well. When I remember my childhood it's similar to reliving a nightmare. And it is true that some of these events have made me stronger. They say when you overcome and survive you emerge a stronger person. When I look back and picture that little girl of only 11 years old holding a straight edge razor blade in her hand and making cuts on her tiny wrists, I ask "Am I stronger now than then?" The answer is no. Now I just have many more reasons to not make that final cut." "I remember standing in the bathroom, holding the straight edge razor to my wrists, trying to make that one good cut. I wasn't strong enough to go through with it. Then I pondered on just taking her medications and ingesting them all. I decided against that also. I was fearful that it would just make me sick and that I would survive. I thought death was a much better alternative to the life I was living. I had read about heaven. There they said, was a place with no pain, sadness or hurt. I read in the Bible about Jesus and the angels. I knew they would love me. I was even pretty sure they would hug me and hold me."
