The thought of freedom brings hope to any soul. It declares that you no longer have to be caught in restraints that keep you in your present state. Truly, freedom is sought and greatly desired. People often times see it as a means to gain bliss and enjoy a life without having to feel tethered to anything or anyone. For many, freedom is the life to do as one wishes without having to answer to anyone else for their actions, words, or plans. It is the thought of proceeding without needing permission or having to ask forgiveness later on. However, freedom without accountability or standard is a life of anarchy and chaos. It is living under the delusion that one is operating autonomously, when actually that person is merely in rebellion, defiantly resisting any sort of law, in order to do as they desire without feeling restrained. The only true freedom available is in serving God. Anything else is bondage parading itself as freedom. Finding freedom requires a desire to search and true freedom is found only at one place, that is, at the feet of Jesus! In Christ, freedom has been made available to anyone and everyone who will come to Him and simply submit to His rulership and discover His righteousness. Without submission to Christ, then that person is simply walking and living in a state of delusion thinking himself to be free; it is a veiled bondage, a mere snare made to look like true freedom. Our freedom is not found in ourselves; it is only in Christ Jesus. This book addresses several stories from the Bible that describe certain individuals who found freedom at the feet of Jesus. The Holy Spirit used their lives to illustrate faith, hope and love, and the humility that gained true freedom. Each story displays those who gained freedom while another party looked on with an element of disdain or indifference. As you read each one, place yourself in the scenario thinking on your own life experiences and the future God has for you in Christ. May the Lord bless you greatly as you endeavor to know Him and make Him known!
