Finding Cassie

"I stay up and get plastered. For nothing more than a weird need to forage, I start rummaging through a drawer until find a photo at the bottom of it. I realize through my drunken stupor that it is a picture of Cassie, a girl I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. Her features hold secrets that slowly begin to haunt me until I fall into a slumber still holding the photograph." The next morning Tony takes to the road on a journey to find Cassie, his lover in a time long passed. But a short time into the trip a drenching rainstorm causes him to slow his vehicle. Just then he notices a figure walking alongside the roadway. When he pulls up for a closer look, he sees a woman, soaked to the skin and shuddering. He asks if she needs help and offers her a ride. Stormy Sirocco accepts his invitation. The interior of Tony's truck is dry and besides, he's going her way.
