Ann Girson Schorr was born in 1925 in Snov, then a part of Poland, now Belarus. Her parents, Dora and Benjamin Girszowicz, moved the family to a remote part of Argentina in 1931, to escape the escalating violence against Jews in Europe. This memoir is the story of her growing up in Argentina, "finding a place in the world," until they moved to the United States in 1946.
