Lee G. Cantwell had me enthralled the moment I picked up his book. Angie is your regular college student: she has hopes, dreams, and a boyfriend named David. Then one day William drops out of the sky and immediately starts asking Angie things like "How many children do you want?" and "When we build our house, would you like a walk-in closet?". Angie is completely bewildered at this near-stranger, yet at the same time, she can't help but love his enthusiasm, his kindness, and the mystery that surrounds him. But Angie can't base her love on the dreams William builds for her. When he goes off to paint in Italy, she resigns herself to marrying a man she does not love. Luckily, fate intervenes to give Angie more than she could have ever hoped for. I absolutely loved this book. The characters were wacky, yet lovable; the storyline unpredictable, yet believable. Most of all I loved the wide range of culture you experiance-from Oregon to Utah to Italy. I learned more about art than I did in my high school art class. And most of all, I found that love can conquer all...with a little bit of effort. :)
