There is a commonly held perception that we don't talk about money. Actually, we talk about it all the time--we are just having the wrong conversation. The result: finances fracture and even destroy... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I just completed Financial Intimacy: How to Create a Healthy Relationship with Your Money and Your Mate and must say, I think it's a book that anyone can benefit from, not just the target audience of women in or pursuing relationships. The stories and people in the case studies were so relatable, with elements in each that both me and my mate could identify with. As someone who thought herself already to be fairly intimate with my own relationship to money, reading this book and taking the time to go through the execises showed me how much more I could learn and tools I could use to excel in my relationship with money and my mate. Anyone interested in defining their path with money, can benefit from reading this book.
A great addition to your financial toolbox.

I found Financial Intimacy: How to Create a Healthy Relationship with Your Money and Your Mate to be engaging and thought provoking. It forces you to re-examine the financial attitudes that you probably take for granted. I easily saw myself (and many of those around me) in the case studies, which made the book difficult to put down. While the book does not solve the issues raised when seeking financial intimacy with a partner (or just a better understanding of your own relationship with money), it does provide a framework and excellent tools for the process. A great read whether you are in a relationship or not.
