How do you conquer a planet? Take away the sun. (It's easier than you think...) NASA research satellites suddenly go silent as a mysterious dark "spot" appears in front of the sun. A young Kevin Mycroft discovers that the spot is steadily growing in size, threatening to throw the entire earth into permanent darkness.
